Activity
Activity (g a) is the workspace's history: who made, changed, commented on, shared, trashed, restored or deleted what, and when — newest first. Each change to a task's fields shows the old and the new value. A bulk edit that made the same change to many tasks shows as one row ("… on 5 tasks").
Changes are recorded however they're made, so the history is complete.
#Narrowing it down
The Activity page has the same toolbar as a task view: + Filter, chips, and a query bar. Task filters choose whose activity you see (for example, only tasks in one project); the Activity filters choose which events:
| Clause | Matches |
|---|---|
activityBy: | Who did it. |
activityAction: | What they did: created, updated, commented, trashed, restored, deleted, shared, unshared. |
activityItem: | What it happened to: a task, project, view, dashboard, doc, label, status, member, space, … |
activityField: | Which field changed. |
activityTo: / activityFrom: | What a field changed to or from (with one activityField:). |
activity-after: / activity-before: | When it happened. |
For example, activityAction:updated activityField:status activityBy:me
shows every status change you made. The query bar suggests clauses and values
as you type. See Query language for
how clauses combine.
Display switches between Feed (each change on its own line) and Compact (one line per entry), and sets how entries are grouped.
#Reverting a change
Hover an entry (or focus it and press r v) and choose Revert to put it back:
- Each field goes back to its old value — unless someone has changed it again since, in which case it's left alone and the app says so.
- For lists such as labels, only what that edit added or removed is undone.
- Reverting a move to the Trash restores the item.
A revert is an edit like any other, so it appears in Activity too.
#What you can see
You see activity only for things you can see. Guests don't see activity about internal tasks or internal notes. How long activity is kept depends on the workspace's plan — the Activity page says when it isn't kept for good.
