List
The List layout shows every task as a row. It's the densest way to see your work, and the fastest to move through from the keyboard.
#Grouping and sorting
- Display → Grouping groups rows by Status, Priority, Type, Assignee, Project or Label. Click a group's heading to fold it; Collapse all / Expand all in the toolbar does every group.
- Display → Ordering sorts the rows, or leave it on Manual and drag rows into the order you want.
- Drag a row into another group to change that field — into "In Progress" to start it, into someone's group to assign it to them.
- Display → Empty groups shows, collapses or hides groups with no tasks.
#Columns
ID and Title come first, then one column per property: priority, assignee, project, labels, type, dates, progress and relations.
- Drag a column's header to move it, or its edge to resize it.
- Click a header to sort by it: once ascending, again descending, a third time back to the view's own order.
- Display → Display properties chooses which columns show.
Every cell is editable in place: click a chip to change it.
#Density
Display → Density sets how the list fits, for you in this workspace:
- Comfortable and Compact fit the list to the pane, hiding columns that don't fit.
- Spreadsheet keeps every column at its own width and scrolls sideways.
Views saved with the old Table layout open as a List.
#Sub-tasks
Display → Sub-issues shows sub-tasks Nested under their parent (with a toggle to fold them), Flat as rows of their own, or Hidden.
#Selecting and the keyboard
- j / k or the arrows move between rows; g g and ShiftG jump to the first and last.
- Enter opens a task; Alt/Option+Enter opens it to the side.
- x selects a row; v starts a range you extend with j / k; ⌘/CtrlA selects everything. A checkbox also appears when you hover a row.
- The u shortcuts then change every selected task. . opens the right-click menu.
The + at the end of a group adds a task right there.
