Board
The Board layout is a Kanban board: a column per group, a card per task.
#Columns
Columns come from Display → Grouping: Status, Priority, Type, Assignee or Project. (Label isn't offered, since a task with two labels would sit in two columns.)
- Collapse column folds a column into a narrow strip; click the strip to open it again. Collapse all / Expand all in the toolbar does every column.
- Display → Empty columns shows, collapses or hides columns with no cards.
#Working on the board
- Drag a card to another column to change that field — Status, Priority, Assignee, whatever the board is grouped by. Drop it on a collapsed column to file it at the end. Drag within a column to reorder.
- Click a card to open its task (Alt/Option+click opens it to the side). Cmd/Ctrl+click or Shift+click selects.
- Click a chip on a card to change it in place.
- Display → Display properties chooses which fields cards show.
- The + at the bottom of a column adds a task there, with that column's value.
#Keyboard
j / k move between cards in a column, and h / l (or the left and right arrows) move between columns. Enter opens the focused card, and the u shortcuts change it — or every selected card.
Collapsed columns and empty-column settings are part of the view, so they're kept when you save it.
