Just you

You're planning your own life and work, and nobody else needs to see it. Maya keeps everything in one workspace, Maya's World, on the Free plan.

Maya’s World is one person’s workspace: a project for each part of life, and labels for contexts.

#The setup

  • One workspace, with no Spaces. With only you in it, there's nothing to share yet.
  • A project for each part of your life: Home, Side project, Health. Projects say what the work is, and each task sits in at most one.
  • Labels for contexts: errand for things to do while you're out, someday for ideas that can wait, waiting on for things in someone else's hands. A task can have several.

#Views to come back to

Save a view for each way you look at your list, such as label:errand is:open before you head out, or is:overdue sort:due each morning. Press c t from anywhere to add a task as it comes to you.

#When someone joins in

Make a Space for the part you share (a household Space with your partner, say) and keep the rest to yourself. Add them to it as a guest to read, comment and chat there, which Free allows for a few people; to let them add and edit work too, move to Team and invite them as a member.
