Your account & preferences

Settings (g s) has up to five tabs. Everyone has Account and Preferences. Workspace admins also see Workspace Settings and Workspace Members, and the workspace's owner sees Billing.

#Account

  • Profile — upload a photo or pick an avatar, and change your full name. Your email is the one you sign in with.
  • Your member page — add a title, location, time zone, a bit about yourself and a cover, shown on your page in the Members list. Edit profile changes them.
  • Workspaces — every workspace you're in or invited to, with your role in each. From here you can open one, Leave one (not one you own), answer an invitation or an offer to own a workspace, and restore a workspace you deleted in the last 30 days.
  • Support access — whether Plan Things Better support may see your account, and the history of every time they did. See Support access.

#Preferences

These are yours alone — nobody else in the workspace sees them:

  • Theme — Light, Dark, or follow your System. It's remembered in this browser.
  • Accent — the app's highlight color: pick a swatch or set your own.
  • Date & time — how dates and times are shown everywhere.
  • Comments & chat — which key sends a comment or chat message (Enter or ⌘/Ctrl+Enter); the other makes a new line.
  • Panes — where "Open to the side" opens a tab (a pane to the right or below), and how bright the panes you're not in stay.

The theme menu at the bottom of the sidebar changes the theme and accent too.

A few other choices are remembered for you in each workspace as you make them, such as whether the query bar is open, your pinned tabs and favorites, and the List layout's density and column widths.

#Signing in and out

You sign in with your email and a one-time code (or with Google or GitHub) — there's no password to remember or reset. Log out is in your menu at the bottom of the sidebar.
